If the past three months have shown us anything, it is that no society is immune from

the strife that follows exclusion. With colleagues working in the United States, East

Africa, and Europe, we are living, as you are, with the strife, inequalities and other

consequences that follow when people are excluded. This can be exclusion from

political, economic, or socio-cultural opportunities, or some combination of these.
